It’s Monday morning, your first client is due in 20 minutes, and the steamer coughs once and stops. Nine times out of ten that’s scale built up over months of tap water, not a dead machine. Spa equipment maintenance is unglamorous, but it’s the difference between equipment that runs for years and equipment that quits

A 280 lb client settles onto your treatment bed, and the frame gives a little creak. That’s usually the moment estheticians start reading spec sheets properly. Beauty bed weight capacity is the number that decides whether a bed still feels rock-solid after two years of daily use, and here in the US it’s the spec

You order a backwash bed online, the truck arrives, and the box will not fit the alcove by three inches. Now you are moving shampoo bowls, re-routing the drain, and explaining to clients why the hair-washing corner is closed. Shampoo bed dimensions are the one thing worth checking twice, because these beds are long, heavy,

You walk into a salon you have never visited and the first thing you touch is the front desk. If it is too tall, you feel like you are checking in at an airport. If it is too deep, the receptionist disappears. If it is three inches too wide, clients squeeze past each other to

Walk into most US nail salons and you will see the same thing: four or five pedicure chairs lined up, all bought at different times, all with different feature lists. The chair by the window reclines smoothly and the footrest lands right where the client’s heels sit. The chair in the corner has a footrest

The fix is boring: plan the station as one unit, then buy the manicure and pedicure chairs that fit it. Plan the Station Before You

A client settles in for a 60-minute deluxe pedicure, mentions her lower back, and you realize the chair only reclines about 30 degrees. That is the moment most salon owners start pricing lay flat options. Recline range has quietly become one of the biggest upgrade requests in US nail and foot-care studios. What Lay Flat
